NANJING COMPLEX

The Sino-Finnish Center is the competition project I was working for when I was as an intern at ALA Architects. This project aims to be a representation of an ecologically sustainable way of building cities. The key concept in the design is to think about the ecological impact of the entire life cycle of the development from pre-planning to demolition and recycling.

As for the urban, Sino-Finnish center aims to be the commercial center in Nanjing. In this center, there are lots of office rooms, a hotel, several restaurants, a museum and an exhibition center. As a member of this group, I worked for basic information collection and the site model in the first phase. Then I did lots of site analysis and some rough ideas. In the design phase, I was responsible for the traffics and the hotel. And finally, I designed and drew the plans for all the basements and the highrise for the hotel.
